PESA’s Cheetah 4K Fiber Router System is a high performance, modular fiber optic switch system for ultra high definition 4K/2K video applications. The Cheetah 4K starts with a basic four input and four output multi-mode card set supporting data rates up to 12Gbps. Each frame can be fully expanded to 16x16. The 4RU frame supports redundant power, control, and a hot-swappable 16x16 x 4K Crosspoint matrix. I/O cards allow easy expansion in groups of 4 inputs or 4 outputs per card which simplifies future expansion without the need to replace cards or frames. The frame system is based on the fi eld proven Cheetah line of routers and maintains the same high reliability always found in the PESA brand.

Taking advantage of a small 4RU footprint, the Cheetah 4K Fiber Router can be configured as a partially loaded frame allowing for easy future field expansion. Start out with a 4X4 system and build up to a full 16x16 without changing the frame or internal hardware.

The Cheetah 4K frame is a modular design featuring four input card slots and four output card slots (I/O). The 4K fiber modules are based on multi-mode/multi-path modules allowing signal transports up to 1000m.

The Cheetah 4K Fiber Router relies on PESA’s proven high-performance 3500PRO or PERC 2000 System Hardware. For specialized control requirements the frame can be controlled via many third-party control systems such as HRS, Crestron® or AMX® controllers. Each 4K frame includes a full package of PESA’s Cattrax network management software allowing a full range of setup features, diagnostics management windows, and active switching and testing features.

To complete the control of end-to-end switching PESA’s full line of RCP control panels provide users with a wide range of control panel options. Pushbutton panels in the RCP line include X/Y, multi-bus, or standard pushbutton panel. In addition to standard hardware panels, users can now incorporate PESA Cattrax Web package allowing full Source/Destination switching using common network based browsers such as IE, Chrome, or Firefox.

Combine the Cheetah 4K with Vidblox extenders to reduce cable clutter and extend up to four computer sources over a single cable connection. DVI, HDMI or VGA are converted to serial data streams to make computer signals compatible with broadcast distribution equipment. Vidblox units let A/V professionals easily and economically scan convert, extend, scale, distribute and transport computer-based content to or from SMPTE compliant broadcast serial digital devices over long distance fi ber or coax connections. Vidblox can solve a number of integrator A/V challenges with a single inexpensive, easy-to-use device. Both the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) can support fi ber and coax in the same box making them a very cost effective solution when multiple signals need to be distributed from one device. High end scan converters and audio embedders typically add considerable cost to any system integration design when multiple units are required. Until now, you have been forced to purchase different devices to perform multitask requirements. PESA’s Viblox products solve this challenge with a full set of features normally found in high end products - but at a much lower cost point-per-device.
