PESA's UCI 2000 is a versatile controller card designed to handle a wide range of protocol conversion applications.  Housed in a 1RU frame, the UCI2000 allows PESA routing switchers to be “plug and play” compatible with third-party router and production switcher products from many well-known manufacturers.

Three system operating modes are available :

Master Mode

Allows a customer to purchase a new PESA router system and continue to use some or all of the legacy matrix frames. UCI2000 makes a customer’s third party router appear to be a native PESA frame. All switch commands are entered through PESA remote control panels connected to a system controller such as the 3500PRO or PERC2000.

Slave Mode

Allows a PESA router to be added to an existing third-party routing system. PESA system controllers are not required as third-party panels are used to enter all switch commands.

Gateway Mode

In Gateway Mode, the UCI2000 is connected to PESA's CPU-link to permit simultaneous control of the house router from a production switcher as well as from PESA control panels. The UCI provides full integration with other production switchers, including passing system controller names to production switchers displays.
