We understand Government and Defense C2 requirements.
With over 4 decades of experience with advanced video and audio communications equipment, PESA is prepared to help you specify, design, and implement the best AV solution to meet your specific needs We have amassed a history of service – providing high quality, mission critical routing and control systems to military and government customers world-wide.
Today, PESA delivers end-to-end signal path solutions – including processing, routing, signal conversion and distribution – for a wide range of signal types and formats. PESA accommodates mixed media as well, including combinations of analog, digital, and telemetry signal formats over copper electrical or fiber optic cabling. NASA, the Department of Defense, and many other prestigious government agencies have found PESA solutions dependable and trustworthy when it counts the most – in national defense, aerospace, and many other executive and legislative branches of government. State and municipal government entities, plus a variety of civilian agencies, including law enforcement, public hospitals and universities, also count on the reliability of PESA for a wide range of applications.
Our AV equipment helps protect the world over land, air, and sea.
Designed and built in the U.S.A., PESA manufactures a full line of routing and signal processing/handling equipment for virtually any installation requirement, including electrical interconnect or optical fiber facility environments. Our DVI products allow interconnection of computer workstations to monitors located up to 6 miles away from the source with no degradation of signal quality. Signals may be transported using either a dedicated transmit/ receive module pair, or delivered through a PESA routing switcher to multiple destinations for the ultimate in versatility

PESA JITC-Compliant Video Distribution System Supports Mission Control Center for International Space Station
PESA announced the completion of a video routing system upgrade to NASA’s Mission Control Center (MCC) at the agency’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston. Lockheed Martin, a prime contractor for NASA, commissioned PESA to provide hardware and system training for its Cheetah Video Distribution System (VDS).
Mission Control supports 24/7 operations for the International Space Station (ISS) and its partners, which include NASA, the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), European Space Agency (ESA), Canadian Space Agency (CSA), and payload oversight from the Payload Operations Integration Center at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.
Also key to the success of the project was PESA’s hybrid video hardware system, which supports both fiber optic and coaxial sources from a variety of broadcast and computer signal formats. Using PESA’s Vidblox extender/scaler units, every SDI, VGA, and DVI video source is fed through the router and securely distributed to the desired display or recording system. The VDS hardware is based on a Cheetah 288XR frame that allows NASA to route 288 input sources to 432 workstations and display screens. …..
Hack of U.S. Central Command Social Media Emphasizes Importance of PESA’s JITC Approved Video Distribution System
…..PESA, the first company to achieve listing on the Department of Defense Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) as a VDS, remains the industry leader for large-scale VDS solutions. The products received Interoperability Certification (IOC) and Information Assurance (IA) accreditation from DISA’s Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), which certifies joint and combined interoperability of all DoD information technology and national security systems. Already deployed by branches of the U.S. military and NASA, PESA’s VDS includes several products in its Cheetah large-scale digital router product line, media conversion and extender modules, and remote control panels.
DoD Extends JITC Certification to Include PESA Video Distribution System (VDS) Product Upgrades
…The most significant upgrade is the new series of Vidblox 2K DVI dual link extenders, which transport video resolutions up to 2560×1600@60Hz over coax and/or fiber. Vidblox 2K provides an inexpensive multi-path solution for distributing ultra high-resolution graphics over long distances explained Col. John T. Wright (U.S. Army, Retired), PESA senior vice president, sales and business development. âIt’s a significant step forward in functionality, and with JITC certification, now the DoD can install an even wider range of PESA products in a variety of applications.
PESA was the first company to achieve listing on the Department of Defense Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL) as a VDS, and remains the industry leader for large-scale VDS solutions. It is the only listing of such equipment approved by the DoD to be fielded in DoD networks. The APL is managed by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)….
