A scalable control system that grows with your needs

Collectively, the PERC3000 is a hardware server platform running the PERC3000 software application and managed with PESA’s Cattrax software application installed on a host computer running Microsoft Windows OS. The system controller interfaces to the matrix frames is via an Ethernet connection to provide communications and diagnostics monitoring.

Keep your existing PESA router investment with simplified legacy integration
Using the available Panel Server and RS232/RS422 Interface devices, PERC3000 maintains compatibility with legacy PESA routing components using the proprietary PESA Routing Control (PRC) bus and the Remote Control Panel (RCP) bus. The latest version of Cattrax supports the PERC3000 which features a faster processor and frame accurate switching that is 100 percent compatible with PESA’s existing matrix frame controllers. It can also be integrated with existing control panels making migration to the newest features and panels simple and efficient. From its most basic level, the PERC3000 can be configured to support a single crosspoint router or just as easily can be setup to expand systems up to 7680 x 7680.

Get a robust and fully engaged control interface with PESA’s Cattrax control software
Cattrax is PESA’s router setup and control software offering administrators and workflow designers a distinct interface to configure and monitor real-time switching environments. As an intuitive, feature-rich interface, Cattrax offers incredible “easy-to-use” capabilities to setup multiple routing switcher frames, control panels, and edge devices for signal conversion and scaling.  The software automatically synchronizes with the routing system to retrieve configuration information, including switch settings, source names, destination names, salvos, levels, break-aways, and other health and diagnostics information necessary to maintain a healthy router system. Cattrax provides a quick interface to make switch commands, fire salvos and perform multi-destination takes without the need for external hardware panels. It also provides an easy method of saving files for backup or reloading configuration files for fast retrieval when multiple I/O settings are needed during events such as live broadcast or staging events. When used with PESA’s DRS distributed audio routing system, it provides a wide range of configuration options including control of audio delay on input channels and/or output channels, audio phase inversion, or dual channel summing. Built-in test functions allow assignment of audio silence, white noise, 1 kHz tone, or a discrete tone sweep, to any DRS output channel.

The controller hardware frame is housed in a stand-alone 1RU chassis with Ethernet connections. Integrated USB keyboard and mouse ports allow easy configuration during setup. Includes locking tamper-proof front door and easy to see system monitoring LEDs.

Add PESA’s multi-port serial bus interface for up to 8 serial ports per control system
The PERC3000 serial bus interface peripheral device communicates with the system controller over an Ethernet connection and provides 8 serial data ports, each of which may be individually configured through Cattrax control software. It is built around a commercial off-the-shelf interface device pre-configured to operate with commands and configuration procedures from the Cattrax software application. A serial bus interface device must be used in conjunction with the PERC3000 controller if your routing installation incorporates any PESA routers that communicate with the system controller over the PESA router control (PRC) bus or other control devices that communicate over a serial data bus or one of the PESA proprietary serial protocols.



Integrate legacy PESA RCP control panels into a PERC3000 Routing Control System
The PERC3000 RCP Panel Server is a PESA built peripheral that communicates with the system controller over an Ethernet connection and provides up to 8 serial data ports supporting the PESA Remote Control Panel (RCP) communication protocol. Each panel server can support up to 32 individual remote control panels. A panel server device must be used in conjunction with the PERC3000 controller if your routing installation incorporates any PESA remote control panels that communicate with the system controller over the RCP bus. This would include virtually all of the remote control panels found in currently installed Cheetah routing systems.
