The world’s first HDcctv-compliant matrix switch, it was the focal point of a technology demonstration conducted by the HDcctv Alliance®.

Huntsville, Alabama – April 16, 2012 – PESA, a leading U.S.-based custom design and build manufacturing company for professional audio and video signal distribution, introduced its new series of easyPORT “throw down” multi-format converter boxes today at the 2012 NAB Show (Booth SL9615), which runs through April 19 in Las Vegas, Nev. At the heart of the easyPORT concept is PESA’s compact four-port utility switch, which incorporates standard SFP-type pluggable module card cages. The easyPORT card cages can be populated to fit practically any combination of input and output signals, including HDMI/DVI, 3G-SDI, ASI, NTSC/PAL, and IP-to-ASI conversion.

A full-featured 24-bit, 96 kHz routing system for audio and time code signals, DRS uses high-speed multiplexing technology for signal distribution, rather than a crosspoint matrix array, and its modular architecture makes it easy to tailor the system to fit specific configurations.

Expanding on the capabilities of PESA’s local network-based Cattrax software, Cattrax Web uses most common Web browsers as the client interface to monitor and control routers in locations around the world. 

Huntsville, Alabama – February 29, 2012 – PESA has expanded its PESA PRO line of professional AV routers with the new PRO-3GSDI-1616 Routing Switcher. It supports all common SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals, as well as embedded audio and other ancillary data required for HD-SDI and DVB/ASI broadcast sources. For digital cinema high definition video distribution requirements, it can be configured to switch SMPTE 372M dual-link HD-SDI in configurations up to 8x8.
